Security advisory: NCSC urges organisations to act following Ukraine tensions

The NCSC advises organisations to act following Russia’s further violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

The NCSC has recognised the increased threat to UK organisations posed by the current geo-political escalation.

In short it recommends taking steps to minimise your attack surface, such as ensuring:

  • You have addressed vulnerabilities in systems and software
  • You are monitoring your logs for unusual activity
  • You have an incident response plan with a backup ready to respond in the event of a threat that breaches your defences

The NCSC has prepared a useful high level guide to assist with where to focus. You can read it here: Actions to take when the cyber threat is heightened – NCSC.GOV.UK

Secon can assist with addressing all the areas outlined in the guide. We’re here to help you understand how to implement these best practice measures. If you want additional advice or guidance, you can book a free consultation with our Chief Security Evangelist, Andrew Gogarty, by clicking here.
