London, 2nd October, 2017 – Secon Cyber Security are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with CheckRecipient, a leading provider of next generation email security technology.
Secon Cyber Security, who specialise in next generation cyber security solutions including a bespoke Managed Detection and Response service, will be acting as an approved CheckRecipient reseller for the UK market.
The partnership is the latest by Secon Cyber Security who recognise the value this solution can bring to its clients. With the number of breaches from email increasing and forthcoming legislation making it necessary to report breaches involving data about EU citizens, there is a need to reduce risk or opportunity. CheckRecipeint, the ever growing British cyber security start-up, have an effective and innovative email security technology that helps prevent data loss from misaddressed emails and emails to unauthorised accounts.
CheckRecipient uses machine learning to automatically prevent highly sensitive information from being sent to the wrong person via email. The technology automatically understands and classifies, without user intervention, when an email is being sent to an unintended or unauthorised recipient and alerts the sender in real time, creating a detailed audit trail for compliance and prevents the risk for end users and the firm as a whole. Huge volumes of sensitive information pass through enterprise email networks every single day and inadvertent data loss due to misaddressed emails are currently the number one digital data security incident reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
David King, Technical Director at Secon Cyber Security, comments “We are delighted to add CheckRecipient to our solution portfolio. Whilst we offer best of breed solutions to protect companies from internal and external threats we recognise the increasing threat from accidental breaches, such as mis-addressed email. By adding CheckRecipient to the portfolio means we can now offer our clients a complete end to end security platform and close another security hole. It fits nicely in our four pillar model, under the ‘Prevent’ heading”.
Wesley Budd, Head of Channels at CheckRecipient, comments: “We’re extremely excited to have signed with Secon Cyber Security. They have many years’ experience in the cyber market and a great customer base who will now have access to one of the best emerging technologies in the market worldwide. Secon Cyber Security also have a deep understanding of GDPR and see exactly how relevant the mis-addressed email problem is. Our Guardian and Enforcer solutions are the perfect fit for companies seeking to achieve compliance ahead of the regulation going live in 2018.”
CheckRecipient is currently adopted by some of the world’s largest financial and legal organisations. Earlier this year, the firm raised venture capital from Accel Partners and Local Globe to continue expansion and grow the team.
