We are all going through one of the most unprecedented periods of our generation. The COVID-19, or Coronavirus, is impacting so many people both directly and indirectly across the planet in a way that most of us have not experienced in our lifetime.
In times like these, it is important to recognise, understand and respond to the situation appropriately and in a timely manner. Secon Cyber’s response to COVID-19 is as follows:
Our Company: We have taken measures to ensure all our employees are safe, well and supported during these challenging times. We have moved all staff to remote working effective from last week and have implemented necessary operational changes to ensure we stay connected and support each other. We also continue to monitor the situation and guidance from the government and are prepared to make any changes necessary to remain operational, with the safety of our team remaining our number one priority.
Our Customers: We shall support our customers who we recognise are equally challenged during these difficult times, particularly those in an industry that is significantly impacted by the controls and restrictions being imposed. We are opening up our experience and capability to assist customers where possible, but doing so with a shared sense of purpose, not profit. We are working with our partners to offer discounted pricing for solutions and telephone/remote support to help businesses operate securely, such as remote working and countering the rise in COVID-19 related phishing attacks.
Our Community: We have a duty to our community to help and protect. As we did back in May 2017 during the WannaCry Ransomware attack, we are offering no charge, no obligation assistance to the NHS, care homes and organisations/charities that directly support the most vulnerable to COVID-19. We are offering this on a reasonable endeavours basis and will work on a first come first serve and critical need basis.
As a cyber security company who has been around for nearly 21 years, we have seen some really bad viruses, but this is most definitely like no other. Our response to this is to work together in a coordinated manner and offer our expertise and skills to enable businesses and communities get through this period successfully.
